Bridal Makeup in America
For those of you who’ve gotten married in America, what did you do for your hair and makeup needs for your wedding day? I’ve seen the job desi salons do here and it’s hideous, to say the least. I don’t trust desi salons here… what are some of the other options? Thanks!

Take a clipping of what the bride has in mind to a Western salon and see if they can copy it but tone it down but still get a good effect during a trial. But surely there must be one desi make up artist who does an okay job around where the bride is?

How about writing to the Depilex people to ask them who they have in America? Many of the girls who train there move abroad, to Dubai, UK and USA… surely they must have someone who does it tastefully.
Which city are you asking about in particular? One of my cousins got married in… I think Phoenix… and the bridal makeup was just fantastic. Though she looked prettier in the makeup here, but it was good enough.

MAC. However get some non-white consultant to do your make-up preferably someone hispanic as their skintones are similar to desi skin tones.
